Bad week painting

Just when I thought it was going so well ..........
I had the most awful painting week.
The studio was freezing and everything I did went wrong.

Though this one came back good by the end of the week.


Others where not as lucky

This Flower head I had to wipe back!
But some times you have to wreck them to make them better.

Christmas Elf

Hi All,

Well here goes my first on line Blog post. I have been writing a weekly Blog for over a year now and sending it to my family. 

I am Knitting Family.

But mostly it is an web 'message in a bottle' to my son, in the future.

The Christmas 'Elf-ing' is well under way.

Last week I delved into me camphor wood chest and brought out all the knitting I've been doing all year and divided it up into 'who gets what'. Some of you have had a lucky escape, but I fear for the majority of you! There is a knitted beauty on its way to you (even if I've missed the post!).

The above photo is a late starter as I realized I hadn't knitted Ethan anything!!!! And I believe everyone in the family should suffer equally.

Talking of the boy.....can you spot the difference?

Yup Ethan has braces (or as I like to call them 'Mouth armor'). They where fitted on Monday and it took an hour and look AWESOME.

Monday evening was renamed 'Ibuprofen night' but now they have settled in fine. The coloured elastic bands get changed every four weeks so Ethan chose blue to go with his skiing jacket.....Cool!

Well for me it was another week painting in the studio. One day was taken up with re-painting the background of one of the paintings from a peachy/ cream to a grey/ purple, but that was OK as it's quite Zen doing that kind of painting.

I'm very happy with the results, so far so good.

So off to the studio now.


I'll post again tomorrow, after all practice makes perfect.
